Your photo and the portrait

You confirm you have the right to use the photo you upload. You give us a licence to use it solely to create your portrait and to print and ship it. The finished portrait is yours to enjoy, display and share; we keep the right to use our style system and may use anonymised, non-identifying statistics about orders.

Portraits are generated by an image model from your photo and our style instructions, then printed by a professional print studio. Previews are free and watermarked; the exact preview you approve is what is printed.

Orders

An order is accepted when we charge your card and send a confirmation. Because every print is made for your order, it enters production quickly and cannot be cancelled once printing has started (usually within one business day). Prices are in US dollars and include standard US shipping; sales tax is added where required.

Delivery

Printed to order in the US and typically delivered in 7–10 business days. Estimates are estimates, not guarantees. Risk passes to you on delivery to the address you gave us.

Intellectual property

The Portraits name, style system, example artwork and copy are owned by DSIO Industries LLC.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA.
